When Esinam Boadi (nee Aculatse) casually tells her husband, Kwame Boadi, of her intention to do her Masters degree on a part-time basis some years ago, little does he envisage her seriousness.

While looking for some documents, he chances upon her certificates and is shocked to realize that she has successfully gained her certificate. This leads to a series of strife, animosity and tension between the couple which trickle down to affect their two lovely daughters Abena, 11 and Nana Ama 9. Mr. Boadi feels threatened that his wife will assume superiority over him to subdue his superiority and ego, a stereotype which many an African will strive to protect.
